Food Bank

Popup image windowThe CARE Partnership Food Bank also provides a way for individuals and families to stretch their limited or low-incomes.

Our pantry shelves are filled with non-perishable food items that are provided by the United Food Bank and food drives conducted by service learning students, Eagle Scouts, corporations, the faith community and other groups.

CARE provided food for 9,388 people in 2009. This does not include the perishable breads, produce and dairy products that are provided by local stores and distributed to individuals, families and group homes each day.

There are no requirements for the 1st visit.
However, return visits do require proof of volunteer service in the community.

Some people help their school, church, another non-profit organization or one of CARE?s programs while others choose to help with our Emergency Food Bank where they work alongside university nutrition students who promote the benefits of good nutrition.
